MLA vs APA. What is the Difference?

Writing is not as simple as many believe. For instance, the bibliography should cite all sources used when preparing an oral presentation in class, including Internet documents, interviews, television programs, CD-ROM publications and printed materials such as books, magazines and newspaper articles, reference works, government documents, and the like. There are many bibliographic formats and you should check with your teacher to see what he or she wants you to follow. Below are examples of the two main formats, the Modern Language Association (MLA) and the American Psychological Association (APA).

APA: Standards systematized by the American Psychological Association, used in this area as well as the social sciences.

MLA: From the Modern Language Association of America is used in reports and research papers. It is a tool to automatically generate citations.

Let’s go through them again - the first is the American Psychological Association (APA), the second is the Modern Language Association (MLA) and the third model is the so called Latino (ML), which describes how to present the academic report, and explains how to document bibliographic sources, and electronic library records.
