When he hears a loud noise, he runs toward the source. Henry sees a group of wounded soldiers and marches with them. After being questioned about how he was hurt, he realizes he does not have a reason to be with these people since he is not injured. Henry moves through the crowd. He is ashamed he was not as brave as these people were who had stayed and fought.
