…ack man. Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison is a book that is chock full of hidden meanings, symbolism, play on words, and many other literary devices. The main theme that I pulled from it was oppression. In many of the events that happened to our narrator, the end result was in some form or another, oppression. As it had been for centuries, the black race was being dominated and oppressed by the white race.
