…figure to Alex. Although at times a father and son relationship between these two characters seems like a stretch, when all of the examples are put together it makes the idea worth mentioning. At times F. Alexander does seem to act like a father to Alex. I am not sure if Burgess intended to do this or if I am looking too much into the novel, but I believe that this is worth looking at.
